Prayer Points

November

Ruth thanks everyone for their prayers for her dad. He went to be with the Lord on the 22nd of October. Please pray for her this month in England staying with her mum to help sort out the practical details.
Please pray for all the children as they prepare for their end of year exams at school and for the teachers many of whom are also doing further study as well as teaching and will need extra strength at this busy time of year.
Please continue to pray for the trustees of M.VER as they seek to nominate other members. Also for the leaders of the base in Belo Horizonte as Izaias and Ruth pass everything over to them before their move to Ceará, (15th Jan 2009).

 

September

Ruth thanks the Lord for the precious time spent with her dad, please pray that he would not be in too much pain especially as he has lost so much weight, pray too for her mum as she looks after him that God would give her strength and encouragement.

Praise the Lord that the numbers at CCVER school have increased and we have now been able to make two classes of 2yr olds and 3yr olds.
Please pray for the new teacher of the 3yrs old class. Also pray for Marlon the new football coach, our cooking courses, computer courses, and art courses that have started up again at CCVER school for the community.

We do thank God for all those supporting us, please pray that the charity events will go well and that more people would take part in the charity dinners.

Please pray for two couples that are applying to work with M.VER that their pastors will give them support.
Pray as we are re-electing the trustees/commison board that God will give us wisdom to find the right people.

August 2008

Please pray for Ruth as she travels to England on the 2nd of August and Izaias and Jonathan as they go later on the 8th of August. They will all be flying back together on the 2nd of september. May this time be good for them to spend some time with Ruth’s dad who is not so well.

July 2008

Praise the Lord that we now have 135 pupils at CCVER School with almost enough 2/3 yr olds to divide into two classes.
Please Pray that as numbers grow the quality of teaching and witness for God also grows.
 We do Praise God for all the churches and individuals that are supporting M.VER through donations or sponsoring a child. 
Please Pray that we will be able to raise more supporters here in Brazil, we now have six Brazilian sponsors giving a little, also two churches that have promised to raise money once a year through a chain of charity dinners. We would like to get an interview with  some business men to try and raise interest in M.VER.
Please pray for the pastors in São João da Ponte as it is a very difficult work with such opposition from the Catholic Priest. Praise the Lord for all the  believers  we were able to visit and encourage in the villages that we had been to two years ago on the acts of Mission trip.
